iDance and Dance Co already expose Wix's default MCP endpoint — 5 AI-agent tools for booking, search, and business details. Harbour Dance does not. A custom MCP endpoint is the single most defensible long-term GEO moat available — and it ties directly into the Phase-2 app build.
Methodology: 14 Vancouver-dance queries × 6 AI platforms (v1_2 added "Studio North Vancouver dance" and "A3 District dance Vancouver" branded queries) (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot). Direct platform query access limited — SERP fetches + WebSearch used as proxies where authenticated access was blocked. Documented honestly in Squad 4 output.

Eric Malapad runs Weekend Warriors — a community-first hip-hop pedagogy for working professionals. Ash calls it "one of the biggest funnels of regular clientele for the company." Zero of 13 audited competitors offer a student-to-student social product. Studio North has top-down gamification (streaks, goals, studio-wide challenges) but no peer-to-peer follow graph, no student DMs, no user-generated social surface — it is a retention layer, not a community layer. The dance vertical has not adopted the fitness-category community pattern (Peloton, Barry's, ClassPass). Eric's Weekend Warriors pedagogy is community-first. This is the missing connective tissue for the entire Vancouver scene.

The client named Studio North and A3 District as comparable instances of the same broken model. The research forced a sharper read. Three Vancouver reference studios anchor the market conversation — and naming them honestly is the first move toward a coalition any real studio would recognise.
